Over 25 Years of Combined Experience

Our team of practitioners supports your healing journey holistically.

More than just acupuncture

At Woodstock Acupuncture, we believe in the power of Chinese medicine to support the body’s natural healing processes, restore balance, and address the root causes of health concerns. With thousands of years of clinical tradition, Chinese medicine offers a holistic approach to care that considers the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit. Our treatments draw on acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, dietary therapy, and other traditional modalities to support health, resilience, and lasting well-being.

Depending on your individual needs, treatments may also incorporate craniosacral therapy, massage, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, and lifestyle guidance. We take the time to understand your unique health history and concerns, creating a thoughtful, individualized approach that supports you as a whole person rather than focusing on a single symptom or diagnosis.

We also recognize the value of collaboration across healthcare disciplines. Our practitioners are familiar with Western medical diagnoses, imaging, and treatments, and can help you navigate the different aspects of your care when needed. When another perspective or treatment would be beneficial, we work with and refer to trusted practitioners, including physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, and other specialists.

Ultimately, our goal is to provide a supportive space where Chinese medicine can help you cultivate greater health, restore balance, and feel more connected to your own capacity for healing.

Samantha Yurkosky, M.S. L.Ac.

LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST, OWNER

Samantha is a board-certified, New York State licensed acupuncturist and the founder of Woodstock Acupuncture. She began her journey with Chinese medicine over 20 years ago, turning to acupuncture for the treatment of migraines when modern medicine had failed to help. Deeply moved by the effectiveness of acupuncture, Samantha left the corporate world to train at Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City. There, she studied four styles of acupuncture under master practitioners, including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Kiiko Matsumoto Japanese Acupuncture (KM), Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM), which utilizes trigger point and dry needling techniques, and Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM). She then spent a decade practicing in a high-volume New York City clinic, treating a wide range of conditions including acute and chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, digestive concerns, women’s health, and sports-related injuries. Her patients included professional dancers, marathon runners, and other athletes, giving her extensive experience treating injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.

More recently, Samantha has expanded her training to include pediatric acupuncture, facial rejuvenation acupuncture, and microneedling. These areas allow her to support patients through different stages of life, from childhood through adulthood, while also offering treatments focused on skin health and rejuvenation.

Samantha draws from both traditional Chinese medicine and integrative approaches, incorporating Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, craniosacral therapy, dietary therapy, Reiki, and other supportive techniques when appropriate. Her approach is warm, practical, and individualized. She takes the time to understand each patient as a whole person, drawing from her diverse training and years of clinical experience to create care that addresses both immediate concerns and long-term health.
